MTC Week 3

This has been another great week in the MTC. The LTMs (language training missionaries) who were already here for three weeks when we got here, who we call Sr. LTMs left this week so now the MTC is empty. It was a little sad seeing all the Sr. LTMs leave as many of us Jr. LTMs had gotten fairly close to them over the last three weeks but they're ready and excited for the field so for them it was a happy occasion. I'm pretty sure that I got the best district and the best teachers in the MTC as our district gets on really well, sometimes too well and we distract each other, but we've all become friends (although our district leader thinks he can rap, but he can't really). Our afternoon teachers organized an amazing race for our district with the instructions in Tagalog, which was really fun, and my team won, although we shared the prize with the losing team. Another exciting thing today was we all had the opportunity to eat Balut, which was 90% hype, but it was still cool and interesting. Me and my companion lost our roommates as they were seniors and we will probably get new ones tomorrow, which is really weird since it seemed like the seniors when we got here were so much more knowledgeable but now we're seniors and we just got here, it feels like high school but over six weeks rather than 3 years. Also learning the language is going well, but my district mates came up with the theory that the minions in "Despicable Me" speak Tagalog as the word for pork is "baboy" pronounced exactly as the minions say it. Finally we had a unique Sunday as the speaker in sacrament meeting quoted MC Hammer which was pretty funny. I hope this email finds you well and I wish you all a good week.
   Sincerely Elder Fugal
