A new district

This week has been very eventful. First of all, since a missionary in our apartment, Elder Marzan, went home on Sunday, his companion, Elder Laranjo stayed with the zone leaders for the next two days. Elder Zundel and I picked him up on Tuesday and were a trio for the rest of the day. On Wednesday, we did absolutely nothing as Elder Zundel was packing for the entire day, then I got to meet my new companion, Elder Matina, on Thursday. When we got our transfer calls, I was pretty nervous about if I would have to train, and I was even more nervous when President Davies called right when I was backing out of a text, so I hung up on my mission president, so that was kind of funny and also a little scary. Elder Matina is from Provo, Utah, and has been on a mission for a year, so I'm not training this cycle which I'm grateful for. While I'm not training Elder Zundel is training again and reopening an area, and Elder Laranjo is also training. Due to Elder Laranjo training, I'm no longer newest missionary in the apartment, but on Friday me and Elder Laranjo's new companion, Elder Jessop, will be together for exchanges and neither of us can really effectively communicate in Tagalog so that will be an interesting day. As for my district, we're going from a district of 8 to a district of 10, and 3 of those 10 are new missionaries, with me and one of the trainers both having just finished training, so our district is new in that it will have 6 missionaries new to the district and also that we are all really new in the mission. It is kind of difficult to fully lead the area, but Elder Zundel made sure I was ready for it, and Elder Matina is a great missionary, we actually had 4 people come to church yesterday which is the most that this area has had while I've been here. One of the people that came has been taught since before I got here but finally came to church, all it took was us getting up a half hour early on Sunday and escorting here to church, so that was a happy moment here. I hope everyone else had a great week!

Sincerely Elder Fugal
